Question 1

How do I change my availability at Starbucks?

Accepted Answer

Update it on Starbucks' Partner Preferences site (myavailability.starbucks.com) or in your store's scheduling app, then tell your store manager. Changes usually need approval and may take one or two schedule cycles to appear.

Question 2

What are the Starbucks partner availability requirements?

Accepted Answer

Starbucks' U.S. job postings require at least 18 hours of weekly availability and at least 12 scheduled hours. The rule doesn't apply at stores unionized on or before July 11, 2022.

Question 3

Is there a Starbucks partner availability form PDF?

Accepted Answer

Starbucks doesn't publish a public PDF. Availability is submitted on the Partner Preferences site, in your scheduling app, or on a form from your store manager.

Question 4

Where do I log in to update my availability?

Accepted Answer

At myavailability.starbucks.com, using your Global Username (country code plus partner number) and partner password. Only enter your password on Starbucks' own sites.

Question 5

Can I change my availability on the Starbucks Partner Hours app?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes, if your store's scheduling app includes an availability section. If you can't find it, use the Partner Preferences site or ask your shift supervisor.

Question 6

What is the 150% availability rule at Starbucks?

Accepted Answer

It's a partner rule of thumb: be available for about 1.5 times the hours you want. Starbucks doesn't publish it as a rule, but its own posting (18 hours of availability for 12 scheduled) follows the same ratio.

Question 7

Does more availability guarantee more hours?

Accepted Answer

No. Hours depend on the store's forecast and labor budget. Wider availability makes you eligible for more shifts, and the Shift Marketplace is the fastest way to add hours.

Question 8

How long does an availability change take?

Accepted Answer

Usually one to two schedule cycles, because the next schedule is often already built. Confirm the change saved and ask your manager to approve it.

Question 9

Can I pick up shifts at other Starbucks stores?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Since a February 2025 upgrade, Shift Marketplace lets partners claim open shifts at any store in their district.

Question 10

How do I check my Starbucks partner schedule?

Accepted Answer

In your store's scheduling app, through Starbucks' partner sign-in in a browser, or on the schedule posted in your store.

Question 11

Can Starbucks schedule me outside my availability?

Accepted Answer

Managers are expected to schedule within your availability. If it happens, tell your manager right away. In Fair Workweek cities like New York, last-minute changes may also come with extra pay.
